I have installed on my work computer, home computer as well as phone( samsung s4). Not the case. Nexus usb elicenser. Emails may be on one computer, but not another and the same with tasks and calendar events. I have set up each device with my outlook 365 profile (though the add device option) and I don't understand why they are not the same. In addition, the emails may be deleted from my phone (not by me but some auto delete). Thinking this is a setting that will remove an email from a device if viewed from another, I checked the system and cannot figure out why it would do this. Is it as POP3, IMAP, Exchange Active Sync or Microsoft Exchange Server email accounts? Only with Microsoft Exchange Server and Exchange Active Sync account, you can synchronize mail, calendar, contacts and tasks data on multiple devices. I suggest you to go through the following article to learn about the email account types and see if it helps. ![]() Hope the above information helps. Reply if you need more help and I'll be happy to assist you further. Daniel, I would like to backup my entire Outlook Data File and start all over. When I reinstall my Outlook account, I want to set up an Exchange server and work through there. I have a Desktop with 8.1, and Office 365 Home Premium. Because I travel a lot, some sent messages are on the desktop, some on my MS Surface Pro. But Outlook on my desktop and Outlook on my Surface don't sync so the way I keep track of work completed isn't the same. Then I threw Outlook.com into the mix and now everything is really mixed up. Moreover, I synced my contacts with my iPhone and in the process screwed up my Outlook categories on my Desktop. I love all the Office on-line apps and have moved almost all my active files there (Files in Excel, Work, Notebook, Access, etc.) so I really, really wish Outlook was there too. Outlook.com doesn't have nearly the features I want. If the developers take suggest from the support engineers, please ask them to assign unique names to the ever-growing assortments of Outlook programs--none of which are actually synced. We now even have an OWA. This is crazy! Again, I want to start all over, using only Outlook with an exchange server and then import only one calendar. I would then like to start importing critical contact files and task lists one by one. Hello Samantha, Which email account's data do you want to back up? As mentioned in the article in my previous reply, only with Exchange Active Sync and Microsoft Exchange Server email account, you can synchronize mail, calendar, contacts and tasks data. IMAP email account would only sync email data and POP3 email account would only download the email messages to your computer. If you're setting up Exchange Active Sync or Microsoft Exchange Server email account, you don't need to back up the Outlook data as re-configuring the email would connect you to all the data. I kindly request you to go to the following link to submit your valuable feedback suggestion. If you have further questions related to this, please let me know. Daniel, I have just set up a Microsoft Exchange Server email account and it is not syncing across my devices in Outlook. On PC#1, Outlook has not updated in three days, though it says that it is connected to the Exchange Server. On PC#2, it is updating regularly but has not downloaded all of my old emails (about 1,000 emails less it should have). This Outlook is also showing something called 'Outlook Data File' as its own inbox. My surface is behaving in the exact same way as PC#2, except without the 'Outlook Data File' showing. In the online mail app, I have all emails and all emails are correctly sorted into their respective folders.
